The Gallery Design Coordinator's primary responsibility is to ensure the design center operates smoothly, manage the department, and maintain excellent customer relations.

Responsibilities

Make sure the design center is running smoothly and efficiently

Be a role model and leader and solve problems

Make informed decisions

Manage the department in order to achieve maximum results

Maintain a friendly and professional environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer and co-worker that approaches

Work in a fast pace environment

Have good communication skills

Be reliable, responsible, and dependable while abiding by all safety guidelines

Have attention to detail and be thorough in completing work tasks

Train each new hire team

Prepare weekly gallery spiffs

Work directly with customers and Designers

Answer customers questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses

Emphasize product features based on analyses of customer’s needs

Assist and help Designers in completing special orders

Responsible for writing and verifying all special orders that are written in the gallery to make sure price, finish, fabrics, and trims are correctly specified on order forms

Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs

Knowledge of methods for showing, promoting, and selling products

Keep design center organized

Ensure catalogs, price books, and fabrics are current

Assist gallery customers with fabric selections for custom upholstery and finish selections for case good orders

Coordinates and organizes all in home consultation documents

Attend in-home consultation sessions as needed

Keep gallery merchandise presentable for customers

Use excellent customer relations

Any other duties as requested by management
