Education
Responsibilities
Lead and monitor federal and state grant initiatives (including Title I, 11, VI, ESSER, JOM, N&D, PSPs), planning and implementing strategies for continuous instructional improvement, student achievement, and compliance with District, state, and federal policies
Support campuses in developing and executing Integrated Action Plans (IAPs) and school improvement strategies (CSI/TSI), using quarterly data analysis to inform interventions for underperforming schools
Coordinate and deliver staff training for curriculum, instruction, and federal program requirements to build capacity and ensure compliance
Design and implement evaluation methodologies to measure the impact of grant-funded programs on student learning and report outcomes to ADE and internal stakeholders
Manage and monitor grant budgets, allocations, and expenditures in compliance with USFR, EDGAR, and ADE guidelines; oversee audit preparation and cycle monitoring
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (IDEA, GEPA, EDGAR) through documentation, reporting, and timely submissions
Compile and analyze data from multiple sources to inform decision-making, compliance, and program improvement
Represent the District in matters pertaining to state and federal grant funds with ADE, auditors, and other agencies; lead consultations and support for private school partners (PSPs)
Provide leadership for grant writing, fiscal planning, and program adjustments based on District needs and legislative changes
Facilitate regular meetings with finance, grants, and program managers; maintain Federal Programs SharePoint site and ensure timely communication
Supervise federal programs staff, including admin assistants, grants managers, and PSP program managers; collaborate with Finance, Assessment & Accountability, CTE, ESS, ELL, and Student Learning teams
Provide in-service education and guidance to administrators on state and federal mandates, District policies, and compliance requirements
Complete other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in education, curriculum/instruction, educational leadership, public administration, or a related field, preferred
Arizona Administrative Certificate, preferred
Minimum of three years teaching experience in K-12 schools (secondary urban setting preferred)
Minimum of two years administrative or leadership experience at the school or district level, preferably in curriculum, instruction, or federal/state programs
Experience in grant management, budgeting/fiscal oversight, and supervision of staff
Knowledge of state and federal grant management rules and regulations, District policies and state statutes
Excellent oral and written communication skills required
Ability to create and maintain good working relationships with District leadership, state and federal grant administrators, Department of Education grant managers and other community
A valid Arizona State Driver's License is required
