Workforce Development Coordinator
The University of South Carolina is seeking a Workforce Development Coordinator to support recruitment, talent acquisition, and employee development initiatives. This role involves managing the hiring process, coordinating training programs, and contributing to community outreach efforts while maintaining key human resources tools and data systems.
Responsibilities
Manage the administrative and logistical aspects of the hiring process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for candidates, hiring managers, and search committees
Promote the division’s talent management program and cultivate a sustainable pipeline of prospective candidates
Apply best practices to attract and retain top talent
Coordinate training programs and manage employee development plans
Facilitate internal partnerships
Contribute to community outreach and engagement initiatives that align with the division’s mission and values
Maintain key human resources tools and data systems, including internal webpages, staff directories, and survey analytics
Qualification
Required
Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience
Demonstrates strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, particularly in coordinating recruitment and employee development processes
Maintains meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, tracking, and candidate experience
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a concierge-style approach that fosters positive interactions with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders
Effectively conveys information across various platforms and adapts messaging to diverse audiences
Thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments, showing adaptability in fast-paced and complex settings
Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and takes the initiative to support team goals
Exercises sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions and decision-making
Demonstrates accountability, inclusive partnership, and a mission-driven mindset aligned with the values of the Division of Development
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with social media platforms for candidate sourcing and engagement
Willing and able to learn new technologies and systems to enhance recruitment, development, and data tracking processes
Preferred
Work experience in human resources, talent recruitment, or talent management with 3 years or more in higher education
