Responsibilities

Advise on all aspects of newsgathering, pre-publication content review, and post-publication matters

Responsible for contract drafting and review

Collaborate with an expert team of collegial and dedicated lawyers

Assist in managing and mentoring junior lawyers on the team

Required

JD degree with excellent academic credentials; admitted to the New York Bar

At least 4 years' of proven experience in news review, media law, or litigation. Experience preparing and examining contracts in digital distribution, technology, content licensing, production, and services agreements

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent negotiation skills

Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters

Ability to efficiently and optimally balance multiple tasks with minimal day-to-day oversight/direction

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and to perform composed while performing multiple tasks for a diverse and skilled client base

Preferred

Litigation experience is a plus!
