Responsibilities

Oversight of all lab testing in the facility, including Waived, non-waived, and moderate complexity testing

Will be trained in other Cath lab/ep lab modalities under scope (QA, registries)

Overall Management: The lab manager is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations across all testing phases (pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic)

Quality Assurance: Implement/upkeep a quality system approach to ensure accurate and reliable test results is a critical responsibility

Maintaining staff proficiencies

Maintaining device correlations, preventative maintenance, QC testing

Maintain reporting to proper lab agency (CAP)

Required

A master's degree in laboratory science with one year of lab training or experience, or a bachelor's degree in laboratory science with two years of lab training or experience, is required

At least three years of experience supervising non-waived tests is necessary

TJC and CLIA experience recommend but not required
