Engineering Supervisor, VIS

Responsibilities
Manage tier 1 tooling supplier compliance to GVOSS for
Co-lead tooling buyoffs with M&E team and Tier 1s
Manage supplier relations and expectations once awarded project with Ford
Facilitate any necessary improvements between Ford and Teir 1 supplier partnerships
Drive standardization for Final Assembly Tooling
Ensure the "Lessons Learned" loop from implementation back to core is being realized with the tooling supplier base
Team Leadership & Development: Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a team of manufacturing engineers, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning
Qualification
Required
B.S. Engineering- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience or similar related technical field; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering
2+ years' experience in Mfg leadership capacity
Preferred
Supplier relationship management
Proven ability to manage multiple projects
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams
Proficiency in leveraging Virtual Manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Team Center, Vis mockup) for advanced analysis and process optimization
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to supplier base within greater Detroit area
Vehicle development processes
Proficiency with GVOSS
Leading a diverse team
Automotive manufacturing and launch processes
