Paralegal: Splunk Product Legal (Hybrid)

Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of Splunk's products and the unique, relevant legal challenges specific to those products
Cultivate close working relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, product management, business development, operations, finance, and other legal teams
Keep up to date on, and provide support, our product compliance programs
Support cross-portfolio user experience matters
Partner with both supply chain and sales to help support complex commercial agreements with suppliers, partners, and customers (under appropriate supervision)
Provide mentorship to product management and engineering teams on new and existing services, products, and features throughout the entire product lifecycle
Provide mentorship on developer tools and ecosystems
Be knowledgeable on issues related to privacy and data protection issues on a global basis
Coordinate inbound legal support requests for the Product Legal Team
Support collection and management of team KPIs
Support Product Legal-related policies
Assist in the continuous improvement of processes and knowledge management (including resource collateral, form agreements, team presentation standards, and playbooks)
Be adept at making sound judgments quickly to facilitate agile business execution
Respond promptly and professionally to requests from internal clients
Handle legal requests from multiple internal clients, while prioritizing key matters
Break down complex issues and communicate them clearly and effectively in plain English
Be a great teammate, willing to pitch in and assist wherever needed
Perform other legal and business-related duties as needed to support the success of the Splunk business
Qualification
Required
8+ years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house (the ideal candidate will have both law firm and in-house experience)
Legal experience in software and technology businesses
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and desire to make legal processes more efficient and optimized
Familiarity with intellectual property, security, global data privacy and protection, regulatory, and contract law matters
Focused attention to detail and ability to work independently with self-motivation
