New Grad, Entry LevelEllis Island Casino & Hotel is seeking a professional, dependable Temporary Security Shuttle & Golf Cart Officer to support guest transportation and property safety during ongoing construction. The role involves providing shuttle service and maintaining security presence while assisting guests and monitoring property conditions.

Responsibilities
Provide safe, courteous golf cart shuttle service transporting guests between parking areas and the Hotel and Casino
Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout exterior areas, parking lots, and designated patrol zones
Conduct routine patrols on foot and by golf cart to monitor guest activity, property conditions, and safety concerns
Offer clear directions, assistance, and support to guests while delivering a positive, service-oriented experience
Observe, identify, and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations in a timely manner
Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies in accordance with company procedures
Assist with traffic flow and congestion management in parking and garage areas as needed
Deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity through proactive visibility and engagement
Prepare accurate daily activity logs and incident reports when required
Enforce property rules, safety standards, and applicable regulations respectfully and consistently
Coordinate with Security leadership, management, and emergency responders when necessary
Inspect golf carts before and after use to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness
Perform basic cart checks (battery charge, tire condition) and report mechanical issues promptly
Maintain organization and readiness of golf cart storage and charging areas
Represent Ellis Island Casino & Hotel with professionalism, integrity, and reliability at all times
Perform other duties as assigned to support Security and operational needs during construction
Qualification
Required
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, a valid Nevada Driver's License with a clean driving record
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to operate a golf cart safely and responsibly
Comfortable working in high-traffic, fast-paced environments
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Professional appearance with strong customer service and interpersonal skills
The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Registration card
The ability to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada TAM card
Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
The ability to submit to and pass a background check and drug test is required
Ability to respond calmly and make sound decisions in crisis situations
Ability to stand, walk, sit, or stoop for extended periods (75%+ of the time)
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to operate a golf cart for extended periods, including full shifts
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in environments that may be noisy, smoky, dusty, hot, or cold
Ability to communicate clearly in person and via radio
Vision, hearing, speaking, and literacy skills required to perform job duties effectively
Preferred
Prior customer service, security, patrol, or guest-facing experience preferred
