Responsibilities

Own the department's production targets, focusing on process capability, robust engineering solutions, and holding the team accountable for results
Create portfolios that drive improvements in yield, cost, and other business areas to support yearly objectives
Coordinate with supervisors across Trivium buildings to align org structure, troubleshooting processes, SOPs, employee development, and operational support models
Foster standardization and partnership across the Catawba campus to drive innovation and consistency
Champion process control and change management to address upstream/downstream operations changes and drive improvements in process capability
Clearly define roles and responsibilities while holding personnel accountable for meeting safety standards and adhering to documented procedures
Provide effective leadership and talent management for section supervisors, engineers, technicians, and team leaders, ensuring strong employee development plans
Build a strong community team with support groups such as Operations, IT, Planning, and Finance to optimize production performance
Deploy a positive employee relations strategy, fostering open and honest communication at all levels
Promote organizational effectiveness through continuous improvement and exploring novel techniques for manufacturing and business processes
Act as the gatekeeper for approval of process/equipment changes and experimental plans, ensuring defined standards of excellence are met

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field preferred
10+ years of exposure to multiple manufacturing processes and corporate resources
6+ years of proven supervisory, team leadership, or section supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience driving results for manufacturing line metrics and MBOs
Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop salaried exempt and non-exempt employees
Training in conflict resolution, employee effectiveness, and supervisory skills
Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and performance excellence principles
Competence in cost accounting and profitability management
Experience in environmental stewardship, safety, and health fundamentals
Demonstrated success in talent development, including attracting, developing, and retaining key personnel
Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams to deliver improvement initiatives or cost reduction programs

Preferred

Leadership experience in launching new product into manufacturing
Certified Six Sigma Black or Green Belt
Proven track record in upward and outward communication within a manufacturing environment
