Atlas Obscura is launching its summer internship program designed to provide educational hands-on experience to emerging talent. Interns will have the opportunity to engage in various strategic areas including community engagement, product development, and business development.

Responsibilities

Learn about the daily content scheduling and posting across Atlas Obscura's social channels
Offer hands-on education with social media strategy, content calendar management, video and text content creation, creator collaborations and audience engagement across multiple platforms
Support the development of digital experiences that help curious travelers explore, plan, and share their adventures
Gain hands-on experience in product research, user experience design, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration
Contribute to projects that support Atlas Obscura’s commercial growth and partnerships strategy

Qualification

Social media strategyContent creationUser experience designProduct researchAnalytical skills

Required

Student (College) status or recent graduate
Interest in digital media, product research, community engagement, or business strategy
Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience
Ability to work in a flexible hybrid schedule

Preferred

Experience or coursework related to social media strategy, content creation, or digital marketing for Community + Creator Engagement track
Design mindset and interest in product research, user experience design, and storytelling for Product Development track
Analytical skills and curiosity about business development and partnerships for Business Development track
