Acoustical Consultant (6 to 10 Years)

The Senior Acoustical Consultant will deliver comprehensive acoustical consulting services from feasibility studies through design, permitting, and construction support, while leading project pursuits, managing schedules and budgets, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

Complete design work and prepare reports for complex or atypical projects
Lead successful project pursuits and prepare proposals with minimal oversight
Develop project schedules and budgets for single-discipline and small multi-discipline projects
Coach engineers and designers to support their professional growth in alignment with Coffman’s values and culture
Oversee the production of drawings and reports, ensuring quality control and productivity across engineers and drafting/design staff

Required

Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to acoustics (e.g., Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture)
6–10 years of experience in acoustical consulting within the construction industry
Ability to perform and oversee acoustical measurements using appropriate testing equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset
Motivation to learn and adopt the latest technologies and practices
Strong time management and organizational skills

Preferred

Proficiency with SoundPLAN
Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment
