Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Media and Entertainment
NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. The company is seeking an outstanding manager to join the NVIDIA AI for Media engineering team to manage a team of engineers developing advanced deep learning technology pipelines to improve productivity and introduce artificial intelligence in Media broadcasting.

Responsibilities
Supervise a team of engineers building next generation microservices and blueprints to enable scalable deployable cloud AI pipelines
Strive to keep your team motivated and productive by implementing and sustaining best practices
Closely collaborate with different deep learning software and hardware teams across NVIDIA to influence roadmaps and deliver solutions
Influence short term and long term decisions about the product with engineering expertise and visionary thinking
Engage with external partners to facilitate product adoption
Track metrics and make telemetry based informed decisions with stakeholder alignment
Expand the visibility of your teams work and keep collaborators informed about status, risks and pivots
Hire the best talent as needed to expand the product scope
Qualification
Required
MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
10+ overall years of proven experience in software development and 5+ yrs of team management experience in building and leading highly performing teams
Experience with balancing technical depth and expertise with strategic decision making and influence
Ability to enforce code health, code reviews practices, establish testing and QA standards and improve overall engineering workflow productivity with the use of AI tools
Track record of mentorship and ability to attract, hire, mentor, and grow top-tier technical talent
Ability to coordinate, communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Research, SRE, security, sales, marketing, PLC, security teams
Strong understanding of the broader market trends and the competitive landscape in the Media & Entertainment industry
Deep understanding of media pipelines, codecs (e.g., H.264, VP9), video streaming protocols (e.g., WebRTC, RTP)
Proficiency with cloud-native deployment containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
Hands on experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP and common container interfaces such as HTTP, gRPC, MCP, SMPTE ST 2110
Preferred
Prior experience with engineering in the Media and Entertainment industry
Background in AI pipelines for video use cases
Experience with CUDA
