Responsibilities
Creating of innovative deep learning and generative models for recommender systems to provide personalized experiences, including fine-tuning, efficient contextualization, adapters, evaluations
Developing innovative statistical methods to calibrate our predictions and corroborate them with data sources and behavioral signals
Designing and implementing models that improve the overall relationship between customers and Amazon, focusing on long-term customer value and satisfaction
Applying reinforcement learning methods in production to continuously improve and adapt customer behavior models
Developing and deploying sophisticated incentive recommendation models to optimize customer engagement and loyalty
Leveraging state-of-the-art AI/ML techniques to extract insights from vast amounts of customer data
Qualification
Required
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++
Have publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
PhD, or Master's degree and 3+ years of practical machine learning experience
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and explaining modeling approaches and outcomes to business leaders with the right level of detail
Preferred
Experience using Unix/Linux
4+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience
Experience working on recommender systems or personalization within search, e-commerce, shopping, advertising or other related fields
