Responsibilities
Own protection for a highly distributed, business-critical user base
Secure SaaS applications and cloud workloads
Accountable for real outcomes in threat detection and incident response
Support security due diligence during M&A
Integrate newly acquired companies into a common security baseline
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD architecture and governance
Experience with Conditional Access, MFA strategy, Zero Trust identity models
Experience with Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and RBAC
Experience with identity lifecycle management across employees, vendors, and acquisitions
Experience with SaaS security via SSO, SCIM, and risk-based access controls
Experience with EDR/XDR platforms (Defender, CrowdStrike, etc.)
Experience with endpoint hardening across Windows/macOS
Experience with device compliance and conditional access enforcement
Experience with email security, phishing defense, and user-centric threat mitigation
Experience balancing real security with productivity and usability
Comfort with securing SaaS applications and cloud workloads
Familiarity with CASB / SaaS Security Posture Management concepts
Experience with data protection, DLP, and sensitive data classification
Experience partnering with infrastructure and architecture teams on secure-by-design systems
Hands-on exposure to SIEM and security monitoring platforms
Experience with alert tuning and detection engineering
Experience with incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and real incidents
Experience with playbook creation and cross-functional coordination during security events
Experience supporting security due diligence during M&A
Experience integrating newly acquired companies into a common security baseline
Experience with identity consolidation across tenants and environments
Experience managing risk pragmatically during post-acquisition transitions
Experience operating in environments where 'perfect' isn't possible on day one
Background in an MSP or services-led security environment
Comfort operating across multiple clients, systems, and maturity levels
Strong troubleshooting instincts
Ability to prioritize risk quickly and communicate clearly
Experience owning outcomes without ideal conditions
Experience as a Senior Security Engineer, Security Architect, or Head/Director of Security
Experience operating in PE-backed, acquisitive, or multi-entity organizations
Comfortable being hands-on while shaping long-term strategy
Trusted to make risk-based decisions and explain them to executives
