Acts Retirement-Life Communities is one of the largest not-for-profit owners and operators of resort-style continuing care senior living communities. The Fitness Program Manager will be responsible for motivating participants in fitness and wellbeing, coordinating fitness and recreational programs, and ensuring safety and quality improvement in programming.

Responsibilities

Motivating and encouraging participants to reach their full potential in terms of fitness and overall wellbeing

Coordinating all events of the fitness and recreational programs

Initiating and implementing individual and group exercise programs and recreational programs

Maintaining standards of safety

Managing quality improvement by updating programming to stay current with industry trends

Qualification

Exercise science degreePersonal training experienceACE certificationCPRAED certificationGroup fitness instructionAquatic Exercise Association certificationFirst Aid certificationLifeguard certificationPool Operator certification

Required

Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education, allied health sciences, or a related human services field

Minimum of five years' experience in personal training or group fitness instruction within a senior living setting

Current certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) (or must be enrolled by the sixth month of employment and completed within one year of hire date)

Current certification from the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA), as needed

Current CPR and AED certifications

Additional certifications may be required in accordance with State laws, such as Lifeguard, Pool Operator, and First Aid
