Responsibilities

Conduct remote hearing diagnostics and assessments, including interpretation of audiometric data captured onsite or through approved remote diagnostic tools
Deliver virtual consultations to review results, educate patients, and guide treatment decisions
Recommend, fit, and dispense Earlens hearing solutions and air conduction hearing aids, aligned to patient lifestyle, clinical needs, and financial considerations
Provide remote counseling and follow-up support to ensure optimal device usage, satisfaction, and retention
Accurately document all encounters, diagnostics, and recommendations in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Coordinate with onsite clinical teams, technicians, and national support resources to ensure seamless patient experience
Support appointment scheduling, handoffs, and follow-up workflows as needed
Proactively manage patient concerns to reduce returns and exchanges
Meet or exceed clinical quality, productivity, and patient satisfaction benchmarks
Stay current on hearing technology, remote diagnostics tools, and telehealth best practices
Collaborate cross-functionally with audiology leadership, operations, and referral partners

Required

Active Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) license in good standing (multi-state licensure a plus)
Bachelor's degree in Hearing Science, Audiology, or related field preferred
Minimum 2+ years of experience fitting and dispensing hearing instruments
Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude for remote care delivery and telehealth platforms
High level of comfort interpreting diagnostic data without direct physical presence
Strong consultative communication skills with the ability to build trust virtually
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple patient cases independently
Commitment to HIPAA compliance, clinical ethics, and patient confidentiality

Preferred

Experience working with Earlens devices or complex hearing solutions
Prior involvement in remote diagnostics, centralized audiology models, or tele-audiology
Experience working in a multi-site or scaling healthcare organization
Familiarity with EMR systems and structured clinical workflows
