Responsibilities
Lead and scale the team: Recruit, mentor, and develop a diverse team of engineers while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture, focused on career growth and business impact
Work cross-functionally: Partner across different business units to deliver an end to end product experience
Delivery of technical solutions: Lead planning, execution, and delivery of impactful engineering projects, balancing technical excellence with practical business outcomes
Drive strategic roadmaps: Work closely with cross functional partners (Pay Group PMs and Mobile Platform teams) to set priorities, define both short-term and long-term goals, and ensure accountability for progress and delivery
Foster innovation: Encourage a culture of growth experimentation and continuous improvement within the team, leveraging insights to drive meaningful enhancements
Qualification
Required
8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience with backend systems and native mobile development
2-4 years of engineering management experience including coaching, mentoring, and sustaining high-performing teams
Experience leading multi-quarter, large-scale technical initiatives as a tech lead or engineering manager
Strong understanding of multi-platform products (e.g., iOS, Android, backend APIs), experience working with fullstack, and cross-platform engineering teams
Experience building horizontal platform solutions that serve other engineering teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills - you're comfortable navigating complexity and bringing together teams across orgs
A strong service mindset - you lead with curiosity, care deeply about people, and empower those around you
