Responsibilities

Assists in development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of benefits programs, systems, policies, and procedures
Main point of contact for all benefit questions/queries by employees, new and established
Manage all facets of employee benefits to include employee change in status, open enrollment, auditing and communicating to staff regarding their benefits
Monitor employee termination process to ensure termination within BCBSNC, Unum, Transamerica, Health Equity, and other benefit vendors
Audit monthly BCBSNC invoice to include Health, Dental, Vision, and Cobra coverage
Audit monthly Unum invoice to include Life, Disability, and ancillary coverage
Partner with benefit vendors and internal departments as needed
Approve and reconcile Fitness Reimbursements on a twice annual basis
Update Pet Insurance memberships monthly following payroll deadlines
Review and approve Tuition Reimbursement applications and maintain records
Assist with organizing employee seminars and other activities as needed
Work with Payroll to implement processes to improve efficiencies in administering benefits and updating HRIS System
Assist Payroll as needed to include audits, file management, reporting, and ad-hoc requests
Own file auditing on a quarterly basis to ensure compliance for audit purposes
Oversee internal digital communications, update policies and programs and own communications interdepartmentally
Maintain and track off-boarding records to ensure a smooth transition of employment

Required

Motivated self-starter who thrives in a team environment

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
3 – 5 years of Human Resources or equivalent experience
Experience administering benefits
Experience with Microsoft Office Publisher, Adobe
Experience working within Workday preferred
Customer service experience a plus
