Entry-Level Software Developer
Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers. They are seeking an entry-level software developer to join a diverse team working on modeling and simulation projects, focusing on EO/IR sensor systems.

Responsibilities
Candidate can expect to work closely with a team of engineers and scientists to write software (using primarily C++ and Python) to solve problems in a variety of disciplines to include EO/IR sensor systems, primarily for modeling & simulation purposes
Candidate is also expected to have the ability to work and to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and have familiarity with software development for both Windows and Linux OS
Qualification
Required
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or science degree and 0+ years of experience in a related field
Experience with C++/Python and version control systems such as Git
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area
Preferred
The ideal candidate should be highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to a fast-paced and highly productive work environment
An interest in working multiple programs with intermediate ability in C++, C#, and Python is a bonus along with strong object-oriented design skills
The ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation
Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following: recent stellar academic performance, a SECRET clearance or above; a TS/SCI clearance (with CI Polygraph); familiarity or interest in EO/IR phenomenology; experience with image processing; experience with GPU programming and/or CUDA programming; experience with developing AI/ML solutions; experience with build systems such as CMake
