They are seeking a Laboratory Assistant/Technician in Quality Control to maintain consumable inventory, perform media preparation, and conduct microbial QC testing, contributing to the efficiency of lab operations.

Responsibilities

Supporting the daily lab operations by making media, preparing glassware, and autoclaving

Performing QC testing (microbiology plate-based methods & qPCR)

Upholding the audit readiness status of the calibration program in the lab by performing calibrations and weekly maintenance of equipment

Demonstrating initiative in taking on responsibilities that contribute to the Quality, Safety and Environmental policies at the site

Organizing the lab to improve process workflows

Required

Associate of Science degree and/or college-level course in related Science OR High School Diploma with work experience in an industrial laboratory

A basic understanding of microbiology and production processes with a strong focus on customer service

The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic and collaborative environment to achieve results together as a team

Physically be able to lift ≤ 50 lbs

Be able to work flexible hours & holidays. First 3 months schedule for training would be Monday – Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday (7:00am-3:30pm). After training has been completed, the regular schedule for this position would be Monday – Wednesday (1:00pm – 9:30pm) and Saturday & Sunday (7:00am-3:30pm)
