Responsibilities

Assists the Director in managing the office and its operations and supervises staff
Assists with formulating, interpreting, and implementing policy
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional requirements
Works closely with the Associate Director of Operations and the Associate Director for Scholarships, and the Associate Director of Advising to ensure that financial aid systems, processes, policies and procedures comply with federal, state, institutional and foundation regulations and policies
Occasionally represents the director at meetings and on committees that impact university compliance with federal regulations

Required

Master's degree or equivalent education and experience
Seven years of experience in student financial aid
Managerial level experience in administering student financial aid programs
Two years of supervisory experience
Must not be in default of Title IV loans
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to effectively manage teams and develop staff
Experience in project management, conducting audits, and managing compliance
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems related to the administration of Federal financial aid

Preferred

Experience increasing student access and engagement, particularly for students underserved in higher education
