Director of Employee Relations
AccruePartners is a well-established national specialty insurance brokerage and underwriting organization seeking a Director of Employee Relations. This leadership role involves overseeing employee relations practices across a complex, multi-state organization, ensuring compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Ensure consistent, fair, and legally compliant employee relations practices across a large and diverse workforce
Play a critical role in mitigating risk, managing investigations, and partnering with Legal on complex matters
Move toward a more data-driven and preventative ER model, identifying trends before issues escalate
Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, discipline, and conflict resolution to leaders across the business
Directly impact employee trust, leadership effectiveness, and the overall employee experience
Help ensure Employee Relations practices scale thoughtfully and responsibly as the business continues to evolve
Qualification
Required
8+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years leading employee relations programs and investigations
Deep expertise in employment law and compliance across multiple states (EEOC, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, and related regulations)
A proven ability to coach leaders through complex, sensitive situations with confidence and discretion
Strong investigative skills, including impartial fact-finding, documentation, and recommendation of outcomes
A leadership style grounded in sound judgment, credibility, and relationship-building across all levels of the organization
Preferred
Experience within insurance, financial services, or similarly regulated environments is strongly preferred
