Utility Billing Specialist (People and Internal Operations Department)
Miami-Dade County is responsible for a wide range of internal support services for government operations. The Utility Billing Specialist maintains the utility billing administration for energy and water, manages over 10,000 accounts, reconciles billing batches, and oversees user roles and permissions in the billing system.

Responsibilities
Maintains Miami-Dade County’s utility billing administration with respect to energy and water for more than 10,000 accounts and 15.700 meters in the county’s utility bill management program and accounts payable systems
Assists the Energy Management Analyst and Utilities Section Manager to meet the goals of PIOD, client departments, and the county to manage the utility management program
Reviews and approves utility bills on behalf of People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD), PIOD Managed facilities or client departments as directed
Reconciles weekly bill batches between Energy CAP and the county’s accounts payable systems and provides documentation to Finance
Establishes and updates Energy CAP user roles and permissions and oversees Energy CAP to ENERGY STAR data transfers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
Three years of experience in utility billing, financial forecasting/projections, and/or management of utility billing systems and applications is required
Additional experience in utility billing, financial forecasting/projections, and/or management of utility billing systems and applications may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis
