CONTAX is a leading provider of ERP business software, specializing in SAP implementation and support. The Solution Engineer in the Financial Operations practice will consult and troubleshoot issues, optimize business processes, and work closely with clients to implement SAP solutions.

Responsibilities

Consulting, troubleshooting issues, and recommending solutions utilizing business process configuration within SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO)
Partnering closely with other cross-functional team members to translate business needs and product requirements into solutions for customers
Working as part of a team to implement SAP for companies in manufacturing and distribution
Configuring and testing the SAP software application within the FICO modules
Supporting existing customers running SAP with enhancements, optimizations, and improvements to FICO business processes
Regularly communicating with customers to ensure their needs are met in a timely fashion
Delivering projects within timelines and budgets
Assisting customers with optimizing their use of their business software through training, knowledge transfer, and expert guidance
Proactively seeking professional development opportunities to enhance the ability to service business and technical needs of our customers

Required

Work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer i.e., are legally eligible to work in The United States via U.S. citizenship, permanent resident status, etc
Residency (or planned residency) within the U.S. state(s) of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, or Wisconsin by the anticipated start date
Regular in-person attendance at the CONTAX Chicago office, with selected remote days
Willingness to travel within North America when required (25%)

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards
Familiarity with working in a finance department for companies of various sizes
Proactive, self-motivated with a customer-focused attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well individually as well as within a team
Competence in problem analysis and provision of clear recommendations
An interest in understanding, designing, and improving business processes
Effective documentation abilities
Familiarity with business processes such as manufacturing, sales, distribution, or accounting
Experience working with business software application such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Epicor, NetSuite, or Infor
