Director/Project Manager - Power & Infrastructure Department

Responsibilities
Serve as mechanical subject matter expert for power generation projects from 25 - 200MW, combined cycle and simple cycle power combustion turbines
Supervise and manage assigned mechanical engineers on each project, providing technical guidance, training, and support for junior engineers
Perform calculations, modeling, engineering, and code research as required
Conduct peer review, technical oversight, and quality control of design team's work products
Provide hands-on engineering project management by consistently reviewing project plans and timelines to ensure projects are on time and on budget. Make adjustments to staffing and resources as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraints
Organize and facilitate internal and external client meetings, ensuring that all action items are documented and completed
Provide project coordination with all involved in the project; internal, external, subcontractors, etc
Work with the VP of the group to respond to client-issued RFP's. Collaborates with group VP to develop and write bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, budgets, etc., using the agreed upon their methods and standards
Establish and maintain excellent client relationships to maintain existing clients and receive referrals for new clients
Ensure accurate project accounting, ensuring that project setup, monthly invoicing, and accounts receivables are done on a timely basis and in compliance with accounting protocols
Participate in trade conferences, business development activities, and promotion of their Engineering Power and Infrastructure Group's commercial and marketing activities
Qualification
Required
BS in Engineering
Minimum 15 years of professional experience with proven experience in engineering, particularly in IPP and utility-scale combustion turbine plants
Must have experience in executing a multi-discipline project utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) programs or equivalent
Demonstrated experience with GE, Siemens, and/or Solar combustion turbines
Demonstrated knowledge and experience specifying and integrating into engineered systems, industrial frame combustion turbines, natural gas and diesel internal combustion engines, heat recovery equipment, packaged boilers, and balance of plant mechanical equipment is a requirement
Must be knowledgeable of local, state, and national code requirements
Must have working knowledge to coordinate with electrical, controls, structural, civil, air permitting discipline requirements
Knowledge and experience with the construction phase. Site visits, factory tests, shop drawing coordination, piping design
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
Preferred
Performing pipe Stress analysis is a plus
Strong working knowledge and utilization of AutoCAD, Revit experience is a plus
