Sales Territory Manager (West Coast)
Doosan Robotics, through its acquisition of ONExia Inc., is positioned at the forefront of industrial automation innovation. The Sales Territory Manager will drive sales growth in collaborative robot automation solutions, establish market presence, and build long-term customer relationships while managing a territory strategy across multiple industries.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a West Coast sales strategy to meet or exceed quota; expand into priority verticals (F&B, CPG, logistics, healthcare, cosmetics, etc.)
Identify target accounts; drive outreach through cold campaigns, referrals, and events, and advance opportunities through the full sales cycle
Lead pricing, terms, and contract negotiations; manage the end-to-end cycle from discovery to award and ensure a smooth handoff to project and field service teams
Visit customer facilities to lead site walks for project discovery and present business cases for automation
Work with internal Application Engineers to develop concepts that meet customer specifications; deliver and present commercial proposals with expert knowledge of the technology selected
Present technical proposals and work closely with the team to create concepts for automation capabilities
Set clear expectations and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
Maintain ongoing relationships and gather customer feedback to inform product-development and identify potential expansion opportunities
Provide post sale support in coordination with technical teams
Represent company at regional trade shows and industry events; capture competitive and market intelligence
Maintain pipeline hygiene, stage probability, and accurate monthly/quarterly forecasts; report territory performance and actions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Communications or related field
Minimum 5 years of capital machinery or automation sales experience
Proven track record in industrial automation or manufacturing equipment sales
Knowledge of end-of-line packaging, palletizing, or material handling applications
Understanding of industrial automation concepts and applications
Familiarity with robotic systems integration and programming concepts
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills across diverse territories
Excellent presentation and communication abilities for various stakeholder levels
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage large geographic territories
Problem-solving aptitude for complex technical sales situations
Strategic planning and market development capabilities
Proven ability to identify and penetrate new markets and customer segments
Willingness to travel (estimated 40-50%)
Preferred
Previous experience with any kind of robot manufacturers is preferred
Background in packaging, food & beverage, consumer goods, or logistics industries
Experience selling engineered-to-order or custom automation solutions
Proven track record of successful territory development and market penetration
