Responsibilities

Maintain and grow an existing customer base while identifying and developing new business opportunities
Build relationships with decision makers at natural gas companies, contractors, and municipalities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with company goals
Present products in a consultative, solutions-driven manner to meet customer needs
Manage the full sales pipeline using EGW’s CRM system (Activities, Opportunities, Quotes, Contacts)
Schedule and conduct customer appointments, training sessions, and product demonstrations
Represent EGW at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events
Stay informed of regulatory changes and industry trends that could impact customer needs
Collaborate closely with Customer Service and Operations to deliver a seamless customer experience
Analyze territory markets, track competitor activity, and prepare regular reports for leadership
Support new product launches and ensure customer adoption
If applicable, manage remote inventory in a storage facility or assigned company vehicle

Required

High School Diploma or GED required
2–5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the natural gas, utility, or construction industries
Proven ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
Comfortable with up to 50% travel (approx. 8–12 overnights per month)
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required
Self-starter with strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
Experience selling to contractors, utilities, or municipalities strongly preferred
