Software Engineer - Computer Graphics (Technical Leadership)
Pittsburgh Robotics Network is part of Meta's Reality Labs team, which is dedicated to developing high-quality Augmented and Virtual Reality solutions. The Software Engineer will focus on the Explore and Validate platforms, bridging to the Ship platform to enhance Codec Avatar technologies.

Responsibilities
Explore platform enables rapid exploration of 2d and 3d experiences and down selection of Codec Avatar technologies following device constraints
Validate platform develops a reference implementation to gain confidence and validate through user testing at scale
Ship platform provides system-level integration powering the Codec Avatar experiences that will ship to end users, including SDK components integrated into existing platforms, runtime infrastructure powering the algorithms and codec avatar machine perception capabilities, and a unified capture system powering avatar generation integrated into Meta’s mobile apps
The role will focus on the Explore+Validate platforms and bridge to the Ship platform
Qualification
Required
Proven track record of delivering high-quality Augmented and Virtual Reality hardware and software solutions
Experience in developing cutting-edge technologies for AR/VR products
Strong understanding of computer graphics and related technologies
Experience with remote execution, runtimes, and tools across multiple platforms
Ability to explore and validate new technologies through user testing at scale
Experience in system-level integration for software products
Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience with Codec Avatars and related technologies
Familiarity with mixed reality and augmented reality products
Experience in rapid prototyping and iteration of software solutions
Knowledge of machine perception capabilities and avatar generation
