Responsibilities

Perform drainage analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, and plan set production for urban and transportation-related stormwater projects

Work with multidisciplinary teams—including technical staff, surveyors, and utility engineers—to develop high-quality designs and interpret plans from other disciplines

Gain experience working on projects such as stormwater master planning, urban drainage design, roadway and rail H&H design, FEMA floodplain studies, and technical reviews

Work under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), receiving guidance and mentorship to develop your skills and work toward professional licensure

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering

EIT certification or the ability to obtain an EIT certification within six months of hire

0-4 years of experience in engineering analysis, design, or related fields

The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders

Preferred

Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer (ORD) or Civil 3D

Experience with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS

Familiarity with 2D modeling software such as HEC-RAS 2D, XPSWMM, or InfoWorks ICM

Experience with ArcGIS for spatial analysis

Previous exposure to TxDOT or municipal drainage design projects
