Fund Operations Manager

LHH is supporting a growing alternative asset management firm, specializing in credit investments, that is seeking a Fund Operations Manager to tie together numerous key functional areas of the firm's middle office. The role involves overseeing loan settlements, trade coordination, and reconciliation, while also leading fund-level reporting activities and managing daily funding operations.

Responsibilities

Oversee end-to-end processes for loan settlements, trade coordination, and reconciliation across internal systems, service providers, administrators, and financing partners
Ensure accurate loan data, ownership transfers, and cash flow reporting. Maintain precision in remittance dates, fee tracking, and resolution of discrepancies
Lead fund-level reporting activities, including preparing operational summaries, settlement reports, and break analyses for internal stakeholders and external partners
Manage daily funding operations, prepare transaction files, and coordinate with warehouse counterparties. Support complex transactions such as resecuritizations, bespoke mandates, and special initiatives
Work closely with accounting teams to confirm cash movements, reconcile wires, validate fee calculations, and ensure accurate entries for fund administration and investor reporting
Maintain robust operational controls through exception tracking and reconciliation reviews. Collaborate with technology teams to implement automation and process enhancements
Build and mentor a small team, set clear objectives, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline (advanced credentials such as MBA, CPA, or CFA are advantageous)
Minimum 7 years of experience in structured finance operations, fund operations, middle office functions, securitization, or mortgage/ABS/MBS processes
Strong understanding of fund reporting requirements, loan-level cash flows, servicing operations, and securitization frameworks
Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL or programming is a plus
Exceptional analytical ability, attention to detail, and capability to manage large datasets
Skilled communicator with proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, including accounting and fund administration teams
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
