Responsible for analyzing work flows and understanding policies, procedures and constraints in any of the following Access and Revenue business areas: access, billing, claims supported by the EPIC application
Performs in depth and precise investigation and documentation of business operational specifications and application functionality
Participates in the application build, test, and support

Required

Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare informatics or a closely related field
Three (3) years of experience in an operational area that is impacted by the Epic implementation
Two (2) years of experience in Epic application build, test and support
Current active certification in specific EPIC product(s) or the ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire
Must have one of the Epic Certifications at the time of hire: Resolute Hospital Billing and Claim or Epic HIM Certification
1+ years of experience with HIM Coding
Epic application implementation experience
Knowledge of business workflows to achieve strategic outcomes for the implementation
Knowledge of healthcare information systems
Knowledge of processes and workflows in business operations settings in access, revenue, billing, claims applications
Advanced computer skills
Knowledge of principles and practices of public administration
Knowledge of administrative principles and practices, including goal setting and program development, implementation and evaluation
Knowledge of operational principles and concepts related to the department or functional area to which assigned
Knowledge of principles and practices of change management
Knowledge of project management and analytical techniques
Knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures
Knowledge of records management principles and practices
Knowledge of computer applications related to the work
Knowledge of techniques and procedures for administrative and business applications
Knowledge of operating principles and characteristics of various computers and associated computer hardware
Knowledge of correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation
Knowledge of department and hospital safety practice and procedures
Knowledge of patient rights
Knowledge of age specific patient care practices
Knowledge of infection control policies and practices
Knowledge of handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials
Knowledge of department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures
Skill in understanding and explaining complex technical concepts in terms understandable to end users
Skill in exercising discretion and independent judgment on workflow design, problem solving and other projects that support business needs
Skill in developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards
Skill in change management techniques and practices
Skill in staff development, training and education
Skill in independently performing professional analytical and programmatic work in the areas(s) to which assigned
Skill in conducting quantitative analyses
Skill in analyzing systems and problems and developing new or modified programs to meet department needs
Skill in troubleshooting hardware and software problems
Skill in instructing department staff in the operation of EHR computer applications, including explaining system concepts to non-technical users
