Seasonal Engineering Equipment Operator
The National Park Service is seeking a Seasonal Engineering Equipment Operator to assist in the operation of heavy machinery for construction and maintenance projects. The role involves operating various types of equipment to perform tasks such as grading and excavating, while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Operates gas or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction, such as road graders, tractors with bulldozer or angle dozer blades, front-end loaders, backhoes, wheel loaders, trench diggers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments
Operates equipment to push, pull, pile, excavate, backfill, grade, or level earth and/or refuse
Uses equipment to perform such functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth, sand, stone, and other materials to maintain ditches, road shoulders, and beds

U.S. Citizenship required
Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication
Meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement for males
Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program
Depending on location, occupancy of government quarters may be required
Depending on location, government housing may be available
You may be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided
You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and/or shift work
You may be required to travel overnight away from home occasionally
You may be required to complete training and obtain/maintain a government charge card with travel and/or purchase authority
You may be required to complete training and operate a four-wheel drive vehicle
If selected for a position/location that requires search and rescue, emergency response, use of firearms, watercraft operation, or commercial driver's license, you will be required to submit to a drug test and receive a negative drug test result prior to appointment. In addition, this position is subject to random testing for illegal drug use
Applicants must be at least 18 years old
For West Glacier, MT: You must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement
For Estes Park, CO: You must possess a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker Endorsement
For Grand Lake, CO: You must possess a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
For Jensen, UT: You must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Include a copy of your license in your application (with photo removed or blocked) or indicate in resume CDL state, class, expiration date
Ability to do the work of an Engineering Equipment Operator without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Operation of Motor Vehicles
