Responsibilities

Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements in preparing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and rebuilding of components
Completes disassembly and assembly of Caterpillar engines and engine components for repairs and/or complete overhaul
Determines most cost-effective repair using Caterpillar reusability guidelines
Inspection of parts for reuse and salvage, ability to develop complete and accurate repair quotes
Maintains clean organized work area to meet dealership contamination control requirements
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Post-secondary education degree or certificate in diesel or automotive preferred
Or a combination of education and Three to Five years in heavy equipment
Relevant CAT related courses
3+ years' experience servicing heavy equipment
1+ years administrative/clerical experience
3+ years customer service experience
3+ years sales experience
DOT Health Card
Class D Driver's License
MSHA License
Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc
Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more
Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
Safety & Product Knowledge
Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
Intermediate Knowledge of DBS
Intermediate Knowledge of ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW
Ability to work independently with little or no direction
Well-rounded knowledge of CAT equipment
