Sales Engineer, Apprentice

Gosiger is seeking a Sales Engineer, Apprentice, who will learn to connect technical expertise with customer needs. This role involves supporting the sales organization by understanding customer requirements and assisting in the design and delivery of tailored proposals, providing hands-on experience in both sales and engineering.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s mission, values, products, and operations
Participate in all required sales training programs to ensure comprehensive product knowledge and the application of effective sales techniques
Demonstrate a commitment to improving sales skills by engaging fully in all coaching and training activities provided by management
Work with sales engineers, applications engineers, and service technicians to understand product specifications and system design
Provide technical support to customers before sales by identifying needs and connecting customers with suitable solutions
Participate in customer meetings, site visits, and technical discussions
Learn about pricing, quoting, and contract negation under supervision
Support the preparation of sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical proposals
Stay up to date with company products, industry trends, and competitors
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in HubSpot, our CRM system
Aid and support at trade shows and company sponsored technical training seminars or events
All other duties as assigned

Required

Currently enrolled or recently completed a technical or engineering apprenticeship, college, or university program (e.g. Mechanical Engineering)
Basic understanding of engineering principles and product design
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Customer-focused attitude with problem-solving abilities
Strong interest in sales, engineering, business development, and technology
Ability to collaborate within a team and manage time effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; familiarity with CRM software is a plus
Must be able to travel out of state for training and on-the-job experience
Must be willing to relocate to a position within the company where business need is determined
