Responsibilities

Participates in menu planning for the cafeteria and patients room service menu
Trains and supervises staff in performing work duties and assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency of operations
Completes the weekly supply orders and places orders with vendors
Responsible for scheduling of employees. Prepares the employee schedule
Approves employee PTO following established policies and procedures. Adjusts daily work schedules as indicated due to PTO
Prepares the weekly food and formula orders following the menus and sales analysis, meeting vendor time deadlines. Completes food and formula inventory as indicated
Communicate with vendors to ensure an accurate order and maintaining cost control
Assist with managing room service when indicated. Update room service procedures, coordinating processes with clinical RDN’s and RS managers

Qualification

Registered Dietitian credentialBachelor's degree in nutritionAdministrative experience

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with a major in food and nutrition required
Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Licensed with the State of Texas as Dietitian OR credentialed as a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and in process of securing Licensure as a Dietitian with the state of Texas - (must be supervised by a dietitian who is Credentialed with the AND and Licensed by the state of Texas while pending state approval process OR awaiting examination and credentialing by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as registration as a dietitian in the state of Texas) - licensure must be issued with 6 months of hire date

Preferred

Administrative experience in a hospital foodservice desired
