Responsibilities
Provide accurate, timely and effective provision of laboratory support
Exhibit excellent customer service skills in line with the Mercy Signature Service with all internal and external customer interactions
Skillfully acquire laboratory specimens for testing, utilizing safe, accurate, effective, professional methodologies while observing HIPAA confidentiality requirements and lab policies
Responsible for all processing, transport and referral of all types of laboratory specimens and reports as required
Achieve competencies of the LST I position as observed by laboratory management or designee and complete all departmental checklists for the LST I position
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Successful completion of probationary period
No active disciplinary actions or active performance improvement plans
Preferred
College level Chemistry, Biology or other Science courses
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory
