Staff Psychologist - Primary Care-Mental Health Integration

Responsibilities
The co-located, collaborative care (CCC) Primary Care-Mental Health Integration (PC-MHI) behavioral health provider provides functional assessment, triage, brief intervention, education and consultative services regarding a wide range of mental health and behavioral medicine concerns, on referral from primary care providers and allied Patient Alliance Care Team (PACT) members
Collaborates with the program lead and begins to initiate an ongoing education plan for providers, Veterans, families, and members of the community on recovery model of care
Adheres to operational policies and procedures for the Mental Health Service Line as established by the Mental Health Leads
Assists with and begins to initiate ongoing program evaluation and data-driven quality improvement projects to monitor the effectiveness of the clinical program
Develops and begins to initiate professional, collegial relationships with other health care programs in order to effectively coordinate services
Provide training and teaching to all staff during New Employee Orientation on Recovery and Patient Centered Care initiatives
Provide training to staff on Recovery Model implementation and Patient Focused Care initiatives to include CPRS - MH Suite templates, Safety Plans, Treatment Plans, Suicide Risk Reduction initiatives and other high-risk patient needs
The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day provision of care and clinical management of assigned patients
Is involved in the training of medical students, medical and psychiatric residents, nursing students, or other mental health trainees, by teaching occasional lectures and seminars and providing limited supervision for clinical practicum experience
Involved in Psychology Training Program and Training Committee as a faculty supervisor for psychology residents and postdoctoral fellows when assigned
Provide training to staff on Recovery Model implementation and Patient Focused Care initiatives to include CPRS - MH Suite templates, Safety Plans, Treatment Plans, Suicide Risk Reduction initiatives and other high-risk patient needs
Provide training and teaching to all staff during New Employee Orientation on Recovery and Patient Centered Care initiatives

United States Citizenship
English Language Proficiency
Have a doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) at the time the program was completed
Have successfully completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA at the time the program was completed
Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia
