2026 Summer Research Internship: Air Conditioning & Exposure and Vulnerability to Extreme Heat
Resources for the Future (RFF) is a leading policy-oriented research organization committed to improving environmental, energy, and natural resource decisions. The summer research intern will assist in developing a comprehensive database of extreme heat exposure and vulnerabilities, focusing on air conditioning use and its impacts, while working closely with RFF Fellows.

Responsibilities
Providing technical support under the direction of RFF Fellows
Collecting, processing, and analyzing large, administrative datasets
Developing new methods to fill in data gaps regarding AC adoption and vulnerability to extreme heat
Qualification
Required
Education: Priority is given to candidates enrolled in a graduate program that is relevant to RFF's research and mission
Coursework or experience in quantitative analysis
Preferred
Experience working with geospatial data and big data
Coding experience in R or Stata
