Responsibilities
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting patients with all questions or issues related to the revenue cycle using exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills
Calls unrelated to the revenue cycle will be properly handled to ensure patients’ questions are resolved to their satisfaction
The Customer Service Representative will communicate in a compassionate and professional manner from a strong revenue cycle knowledge base
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or the equivalent
Two years of office experience required
Customer service experience required (retail, hotel/motel, banking)
Typing 50 wpm is required
Exceptional customer service skills required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required
Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and listening skills
Must have a demonstrated ability to address difficult situations and resolve conflict with ease, poise and tact
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
Additional college or business courses preferred
A Certified Patient Accounts Technician certificate is preferred
Admissions or billing background in a hospital or other healthcare setting is preferred
Insurance, banking, or accounts receivable/collections experience preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
Working knowledge of medical terminology highly preferred
