Responsibilities
Lead technical architecture and system design for Robinhood’s crypto trading platform
Partner with product to shape the roadmap and long-term vision
Collaborate across engineering teams to implement scalable and secure systems
Drive design reviews, lead complex projects, and own critical technical decisions
Elevate engineering excellence through mentorship, best practices, and hands-on problem solving
Optimize systems for performance, availability, and operational efficiency
Support recruiting and onboarding of engineers to grow the team
Qualification
Required
10+ years of software engineering experience
Experience technically leading large-scale systems and complex projects
Strong technical judgment, with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering and product teams
Ability to operate effectively in highly regulated or complex domains
Passion for customer value and deep product engagement
Preferred
Experience with Python/Django, Golang, Postgres, Redis, Kafka
Familiarity with financial systems or crypto trading infrastructure
Knowledge of Kubernetes and AWS cloud architecture
