INTERN - LEGAL (WESTFORD, MA)

NETSCOUT is currently hiring a Legal intern in their Westford, MA office. This internship is intended to provide the candidate with hands-on experience and exposure to the day-to-day activities of a highly skilled corporate legal and compliance team, covering diverse subject areas such as corporate governance, employment, IP, and commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

Legal research and analysis on a variety of issues
Assist with program documentation including policies, manuals, training materials and employee communications
Assist with corporate governance matters
Assist with contract review, interpretation and summarization
Participate in Legal Department projects - determined on an as-needed basis
General tasks – assisting with contract management, preparing and organizing files, assistance with maintaining our various databases, running and reviewing reports, drafting, marking up documents, and other tasks, as needed
Preparation of presentations

Required

Legal research and analysis on a variety of issues

The selected intern will be required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement obligating them to maintain the confidentiality of any information they receive while engaged as an intern for NetScout; and to comply with NetScout's Code of Conduct
Intern will also be required to submit to a background check

Preferred

Currently enrolled in a J.D. program
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Experience with Oracle, SharePoint, and/or Diligent (f/k/a Blueprint) a plus
Team player, ability to multitask, close attention to detail, and a willingness to work on a variety of matters
Ability to work independently once given direction
Excellent legal research, writing, communication and problem-solving skills
