Director, Development CS Finance & Insights

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an analytical and financially astute Director, Development CS Finance & Insights to join our Portfolio Growth & Integration team. In this role, you will be collaborating closely with the broader Transactions, Finance and Commercial teams, where you’ll be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company.

Responsibilities

Partner closely with the Development team to evaluate the commercial viability of new deals and conversions
Provide insight into market potential, revenue generation, and commercial risk through data-backed recommendations
Lead the development of commercial input assumptions and scenarios for property proformas
Ensure alignment between commercial forecasts and broader financial modeling used in deal evaluation and investment decisions
Design and implement analytics for hotel openings and transitions to measure ramp performance vs. expectations
Identify key drivers of commercial underperformance or overperformance and advise on course corrections
Track ramping hotels against proforma/underwriting
Develop and maintain commercial ramp benchmarks by brand, region, and hotel type
Track KPIs related to revenue, market share, and channel mix during ramp periods
Act as the primary commercial analytics liaison between Development, Commercial Services, Finance, and Operations
Align on performance expectations and proactively shape commercial strategies to ensure successful launches and transitions
Synthesize findings into clear, compelling presentations for senior leadership and Investment Committee meetings
Contribute to the creation of tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that provide forward-looking commercial insights

Required

Bachelors degree required
8+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, commercial strategy, business intelligence, or consulting—ideally within the hospitality, real estate, or private equity sectors

Preferred

MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or Analytics preferred
Proven track record of building and interpreting financial models related to hotel development, ramp-up, or asset performance
Deep knowledge of hospitality performance metrics (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, channel mix, etc.) and industry benchmarks
Strong SQL, Excel, and data visualization experience (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); experience with forecasting tools a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership
Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A collaborative mindset and a strong sense of ownership, with the ability to act as a thought partner across functions
