Responsibilities

Assist Avista personnel with the operation of the Cabinet Gorge Fish Passage Facility and Downstream Fish Transport Program

Operate equipment at the project site used to isolate and transfer fish to a transport truck

Assist in the processing and tagging of various fish species

Operate and check tributary traps, boat or stream electrofishing

Assist with cleaning and maintenance at recreation sites or other field duties as assigned

Assist with compiling data using spreadsheets (Excel)

View underwater camera video to assess fish behavior

Required

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be capable of conducting strenuous field work and willing to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

Must be willing and capable of being trained in the safe and proper operation of equipment (including vehicles & boats) related to a particular field of specialization or assignments

Must be able to follow instructions and communicate effectively

Requires a valid driver's license

Preferred

High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
