NMS is a company that provides camp services, and they are seeking a Remote Maintenance Technician to support the remote camps and facilities' overall operation and maintenance. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, repairing various systems, and ensuring the highest quality of service to customers.

Responsibilities

Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times

Performs all assigned preventative maintenance work

Repair equipment and systems associated with remote envirovac stations including water and wastewater pumping, storage and distribution systems

Follows specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment

Uses hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing devices to test, diagnose, and repair equipment. Must be able to dismantle equipment and install working parts

Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patch or replace plaster/plaster board, paint walls, ceilings, and trim

Maintains a log of all work performed, parts needed, or parts used on all work requests

Records utility readings and equipment readings daily and maintain current period readings in maintenance office

Clears clogged drains and repair plumbing fixtures

Assists in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems in all camps and facilities

Perform any carpentry work needed for maintain and repair camps and facilities

Removes ice and snow from sidewalks and entrances to the camps and facilities

Attends daily safety tool box meetings and is required to do job safety evaluations for each job

Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met

Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned

Required

Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent

At least five (5) years of directly related camp maintenance experience to include but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and refrigeration repairs

A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy

Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to: background check, drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment and hearing test

Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients

Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision

Must be able to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation

Must be able to live in dormitory style settings and meet cleanliness requirements of the remote camp

Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English
