Responsibilities
Increased level of client-facing activity, including navigating day-to-day client interaction across at least one account
Manage, delegate and review junior staff’s work with input from team leads and provide mentorship to help strengthen skills and contribute towards their professional development
Oversee and execute on the development of high-quality client deliverables including – but not limited to –press releases, key messages, talking points, op-eds, plans and other critical communications materials
Anticipate and deliver client and account team needs
Demonstrate the ability to develop new media pitches and angles and exhibit strong media relations skills with success in placing and managing media coverage
Help develop strategic communications plans and supplemental project plans with support from team leads
Begin to become more involved in firm initiatives, this could include mentoring, recruiting or helping to increase firm visibility externally; and
Serve as a thought leader with team leads to anticipate and meet client goals and demonstrate strategic thinking skills
Qualification
Required
Previous experience working in communications at a corporation or public relations agency
Excellent writing skills and experience crafting a variety of communications materials
Strong strategic instincts and ability to develop and execute communications and strategic plans
Conceptual thinker with excellent organizational and prioritization skills and meticulous attention to detail
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in tandem
A bachelor's degree with a preference in public relations, communications, business, or marketing
