Responsibilities
Reviews patient records to determine the need for evaluation of cognitive, learning, attention, mood, social and behavioral concerns which often accompany craniofacial conditions
Provides clinical assessments, completes psychological evaluation and provides treatment
Prepares reports, test results and recommendations
Provides individual and family psychotherapy for children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of craniofacial conditions
May initiate parenting interventions to address adjustment concerns and issues related to having a child with a craniofacial condition
Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborates with other departments and team members
Qualification
Required
Doctorate Of Science PhD in clinical psychology and pre-doctoral internship from an APA approved program
Completion of at least one year of post-doctoral experience in a hospital setting
Experience working with chronically ill children, adolescents and families
Specific training and experience working with children with craniofacial conditions
Experience working with a multidisciplinary team
