Praxis Engineering is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Requirements Systems Engineer to join their talented team of engineers. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for gathering, defining, decomposing, and documenting functional system requirements for the development of new workflows on an existing software platform.

Responsibilities

Gathering, defining, decomposing, and documenting functional system requirements needed for the development of new workflows/business processes on an existing software platform

Collaborate with stakeholders to capture evolving needs and features, ensuring alignment with project goals

Documenting interfaces between new and legacy systems

Rapidly comprehend and articulate intricate technical details to various audiences

Work autonomously towards long-range objectives under consultative direction

Required

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional developer experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree

Proven experience in gathering and authoring functional system requirements and technical documentation

Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to capture evolving needs and features, ensuring alignment with project goals

Familiarity with workflow/business process engineering

Experience documenting interfaces between new and legacy systems

Ability to rapidly comprehend and articulate intricate technical details to various audiences

Ability to work autonomously towards long-range objectives under consultative direction

Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies

Experience utilizing collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence

Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role

Preferred

Experience leading a small functional team of software engineers within a larger project team
