Responsibilities

Assess environmental risks and requirements and develop mitigations and strategies to support data center siting and development strategies and site-specific project delivery
Lead technical aspects of environmental due diligence, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, regulatory and permitting evaluations, and natural, biological and cultural resource evaluations
Deliver environmental permits, approvals, and plans to enable on-time and compliant construction and operations for new data center locations and expansion of existing sites
Communicate environmental requirements, risks, and activities to internal and external project partners
Coordinate with partner teams including Design, Water, Legal, Risk, Power, and others to optimize site designs to consider natural resource or operational constraints
Develop site development and permitting strategies that are environmentally responsible and sustainable while meeting project timelines
Lead regulatory agency interactions and negotiations in support of environmental permit acquisition and regional development strategies
Develop, manage and track metrics to evaluate project success

Required

Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent
5+ years of project management experience
10+ years of experience delivering multi-media environmental due diligence, permitting, and compliance for existing sites and new development
7+ years experience conducting environmental due diligence for greenfield and brownfield sites, including Phase I and Phase II ESAs and support for investigative and remedial activities

Preferred

Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers or critical infrastructure or large-scale mechanical and electrical plants
Experience working on multi-team, cross-disciplinary projects
Experience in multiple states within the US (preferably in OH, MO, and IN)
Experience managing and/or supporting community/public interactions
Experience with Smartsheets or other project management software
Up to 25% travel
