GDD Accounts Manager
ICANN is responsible for managing relationships and contracts with registry operators and registrars in the domain name industry. The GDD Account Manager will create and maintain professional relationships with contracted parties, analyze industry trends, and lead efforts to implement new policies in consultation with stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Participate in a highly talented team of global professionals based in various locations around the globe
Build and maintain positive working relationships with contracted parties and other stakeholders within the ICANN community
Understand the domain name marketplace and serve as a subject matter expert within ICANN org and as requested by community members, in person and in writing
Interpret policies and agreements and lead staff efforts to implement new policies in consultation with relevant stakeholders within the organization and community
Represent ICANN org by meeting and collaborating with contracted parties and other stakeholder groups at domain name industry events
Participate in and occasionally lead workshops and other sessions during ICANN meetings
Create and provide regular metrics to manage, measure, and report progress to stakeholders, management, and staff
Work constructively with other ICANN org departments and the community to implement consensus policy recommendations developed by the community
Be an exceptional team player and be comfortable working in a highly diverse, multicultural, and dynamic environment

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum eight (8) years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or a minimum six (6) years of experience with a Master's Degree
Fluency, both written and spoken, in English is required
Strong oral and written communication skills in English language with demonstrated ability to effectively inform and influence
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, diverse team environment
Broad understanding of technical issues involving the Internet and DNS industry
Ability to adapt to new technologies, organizational and procedural changes and to work independently with minimal supervision on complex, non-routine issues
A creative problem solver with experience negotiating with internal and external partners
Experience with analyzing and interpreting policy and contractual provisions
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage work on concurrent projects
Demonstrates a strong work ethic and is committed to seeing tasks through to completion
Commitment to organizational principles of accountability and transparency
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally 15% of the time, or as needed
Work is performed in a normal office environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee regularly is required to sit. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear; use hands and arms to reach, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Preferred
Master's Degree (MBA) preferred
Study in Public Policy desired
Prior international experience preferred
Fluent written and spoken language skills in any of the other official United Nations languages is strongly preferred
Broad knowledge and experience in public policy research and analysis is a plus
Experience working in the domain name industry is a plus
Experience working with contracts and legal documents or managing vendors is a plus
