Unity Environmental University is on a mission to make environmental education accessible and affordable to all. They are seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve as Subject Matter Experts to develop evidence-based writing skills-focused undergraduate courses offered asynchronously online.

Develop evidence-based writing skills-focused undergraduate courses

Advise on and develop curricula in collaboration with an academic dean and learning experience designer

Required

An advanced degree (Master's minimum) in writing or related field involving extensive engagement in evidence-based writing

Experience developing and critiquing evidence-based arguments

Understanding of strategies for synthesizing information from various sources

Knowledge of impactful ways to incorporate evidence into written arguments

Knowledge of best practices for supporting learner engagement in online settings

Willingness to embrace the potential of generative AI tools to improve learning and/or workplace performance

Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to meet deadlines

Enthusiasm for collaborative, creative work

Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately

Ability to write student-facing instructions with clarity

Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the University

Preferred

Experience with online teaching and/or distance learners
